National Prescription Drug Day: Drop off unused prescription drugs in Rochester

ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) Saturday, April 27 is National Prescription Drug Day, a twice-yearly DEA-sponsored event that encourages people to take action and remove unwanted drugs from their homes, unused or expired.

The DEA says this can help reduce drug misuse, opioid addiction and drug-related violence.

Multiple locations in the Rochester metro area are open to allow people to dispose of unwanted medications. Some of these locations are Saturday only, but there are several locations open year-round. Below are two lists one for April 27 layoffs and one for year-round layoffs.
